Enterprise Transformation Pipeline
Canonical internal models decouple vendor specifics from TMF API exposure
TMF Open API Versioning Note: TM Forum Open APIs evolve across versions (v4, v5, etc.). Vendor implementations and payload structures may differ. This is an educational reference, not an official certification payload.
Event-Driven Architecture: Modern TMF implementations heavily use asynchronous notifications, webhooks, and event buses (Kafka/Pulsar) for real-time OSS-BSS integration.
The SID Information Model
While TM Forum Open APIs define the communication pipes (JSON contracts), the SID (Shared Information/Data Model) acts as the unified telecom dictionary. It ensures that fields coming from fragmented vendor systems (EMS/NMS) map to identical business semantics and entities.
What is Commercialized
The commercial offering, billing attributes, and customer intent.
What is Instantiated
The technical logic, topology specs, and user-facing features.
Where it Executes
Physical infrastructure, hardware elements, and cloud endpoints.
TMF API Architecture Flow
Commercial Order (Product) Decomposes to Technical Provisioning (Service & Resource) $\rightarrow$ Logged into Inventory $\rightarrow$ Monitored via Assurance (Alarms track Faults, Problems assess Impact, Tickets drive Resolution).
Custom Extensions (Non-TMF Standard)
Note: AIOps extension fields shown here are custom implementation examples and are not currently standardized TM Forum Open APIs.
| TMF API | Field | SID Entity | Category | Source Example | Normalized Output | Mediation Rule |
